Benefits for Employers
We handle the administration of the program, and your cost is based on card usage. The program features:

• No upfront costs. You pay only for the flu shot cards that are redeemed. At the end of the flu season, you’re charged a nominal fee for unused cards.
• Administration assistance. OptumHealth mails the cards to employees. We keep track of the cards redeemed.
• Employee engagement. We provide promotional kits for your worksites to encourage employees to use the cards.

Convenient for Employees
After receiving a card at home, an employee can easily redeem it for an intramuscular flu vaccination at one of the more than 17,000 network clinics and retail outlets.

When an employee visits a participating clinic, he or she simply presents the card to get a shot. No other payment or identification is required.

The Flu Shot Card is not health insurance and is not intended for use by anyone who, for medical reasons, should not receive the influenza vaccine. Each vaccination clinic is owned and operated by an independent company that is not affiliated with OptumHealth. OptumHealth does not employ any health care professionals or exercise any control over the provision of vaccinations at these clinics. Card may be redeemed for one intramuscular flu injection only.
